Thank you so much for bringing attention to this event and sharing it with the public. No one that I know has ever spoken of this, I gather because it was so long ago. Finally, folks will know what happened in 1918.

My Grandmother died Oct 14, 1918 due to this flu. Frona M. Davies Stevenson, born ~ August 21, 1881, was the wife of a farmer, their farm was in Beechwoods PA. She was buried in Beechwoods Cemetary, Falls Creek, PA. She bore 4 children and died a few days after birthing her last son. My Mother was 4 years old when her Mother passed and never discussed these deaths, it was a very difficult time for her family. My Grandfather remarried, had 3 more children and lived until 1963. 

When I was a child visiting my Grandfather at his farm, I remember that Beechwoods PA used to have a group of ‘historians’ from the area who shared all sorts of information you might find interesting. They had relatives from Philadelphia PA.
